Anita Nuckhir qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1989, and has built up a wealth of experience in the 22 years that she has worked in a clinical setting. Anita specialises in the management of clients who have sustained complex injuries, including brain injury, amputees and complex orthopaedics.
For the last 14 years Anita has worked mainly as a Social Services Occupational Therapist assessing the needs of clients and providing the appropriate services. In 2010 Anita became a full time independent practitioner. In both capacities Anita has worked with a diverse range of people living with many different disabilities and has worked to assist them in regaining as much independence and function as possible using differing interventions.
Over her 14 year career as a Social Services Occupational Therapist Anita has developed numerous vocational skills and experiences that she draws upon in her work as a Case Manager. Anita has extensive experience working with people with disabilities and has a broad and current knowledge of available equipment for clients with disabilities. Anita has used risk assessment skills extensively throughout her career and also has moving and handling expertise from her time working with care managers and care agencies resolving complex moving and handling issues.
Anita is a State Registered Occupational Therapist, a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists (BAOT) and the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM).
